The Amish

I had a weird run in with the Amish not just any Amish but the Iowa Amish. Anyways i was at work had to head down to Creston Iowa which is almost to the Missouri border. Anyways shits a different world down there, with an Amish community not far away. This town even has a hitching post outside of this diner for them to tie there horses up to. Im working in the dairy dept of the store checking some things out and here comes 2 lil Amish boys there dad and an Amish girl that was probably 12 i shit you not and pregnant. I would not be suprised if the dad was the father of his daughters kid. They were freaking weird real dirty and there big old overhauls and no shoes and big hats and beard in the fathers case. I was always under the impression that the Amish thought that lights and technology was the devils work so what were they doing shopping at Wal Mart?

My girlfriend told me about how the Amish when they reach a certin age have to decide to stay Amish or bolt, they are sent into the real world for like a month to experience life. She had a friend that took in this wayward Amish guy and he did as many drugs as he could find and basically went crazy and gave the Amish a big FU when he knew what was out there for him. I really dont blame him.
